Ryan Burchnell

Ryan B. currently serves as the Director - Chief Strategist for FirstNet & Public Safety at AT&T and holds multiple leadership roles, including President & CEO of the AT&T First Responder Employee Network and Lead Manager of FirstNet Strategy & Policy. In addition to these roles, Ryan is a member of the Board of Directors for the IJIS Institute, serving as Audit Committee Chair for 2023 to 2024 and previously as Secretary and Director at Large. Recently appointed as a Board Member for the FBI National Academy Associates Charitable Foundation, Ryan has a background as Executive Director for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and has contributed to various organizations, including TFT FRIENDS INC and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tallahassee. With over two decades in law enforcement, Ryan retired from the Florida Highway Patrol as Chief of Technology & Communications, following significant advancements in technology and information services. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University.
