Marc J. Spacone

New Principal Mentor at Illinois Principals Association

Marc J. Spacone is an experienced educational leader and public servant with a career spanning over two decades in various roles. Currently serving as a New Principal Mentor for the Illinois Principals Association since July 2023, Marc has also held the position of School Principal within School District U-46 since June 2016. In addition to these educational roles, service as a Village Trustee for the Village of Lake Zurich began in May 2015, with re-election achieved in 2019. An adjunct professor at Concordia University Chicago from August 2013 to January 2024, Marc has taught graduate-level courses focusing on curriculum construction and instructional practices. Previous positions include Director of Student Activities and Dean of Students at Aurora East School District 131, high school principal at North Cook Intermediate Service Center, and various teaching roles in social studies. Marc's educational background includes multiple degrees in educational administration and teaching from institutions such as Concordia University Chicago and Northeastern Illinois University.
