Maite Parejo has an extensive background in law and human rights, currently serving as Co-president of the Observatory of Human Rights at Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid since October 2023. In addition to this role, Maite is a Professor at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja and has been a partner in the Criminal Department at MAIO Legal since March 2020. Maite is also a member of the Advisory Board for the National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture. Former positions include Co-founder of G37 Despacho Internacional, Vice President and Secretary General of the Asociación Pro-Derechos Humanos de España, and Managing Partner and Founder of Parejo Sousa Abogados. Maite's legal career began as an Attorney at Law at Cerero Abogados and Olle Sesé Abogados. Maite holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Universidad de Sevilla, completed between 1999 and 2004.
