John Palmer

John Palmer is a seasoned quantitative trader currently employed at IMC Trading since August 2021. Prior to this role, John gained experience as a hybrid trader intern at Belvedere Trading, LLC in 2020, and founded Flatiron Social Media from 2018 to 2019. John demonstrated strong skills in trading through participation in the UChicago Midwest Trading Competition, securing 3rd place by implementing solutions for portfolio optimization and market-making using Python. At the University of Colorado Boulder, John worked as an analyst, creating presentations and developing VBA macros for data processing for both private and public entities. Early work experience includes a maintenance assistant position at Greeley Country Club. John graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2021.
