Sean Simmons

Sean Simmons is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in performance engineering and firmware development. Currently serving as a Performance Engineer at IMC Trading since September 2017, Sean previously held significant roles including Senior Staff Engineer/Manager at Qualcomm, where substantial contributions were made from May 2012 to September 2017. Prior to that, Sean led firmware engineering at Teledyne RD Instruments as a Manager from December 2008 to May 2012, overseeing the development of embedded software for acoustic Doppler current profilers. Additional experience includes roles at EEmbed, Inc. as an Embedded Systems Engineer, Texas Instruments as a Senior Software Engineer, and RD Instruments as a Lead Firmware Engineer. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from UC San Diego and a Certificate in Leadership and Management.
