Aitor Almanza, PhD, is a Computational Biologist at IMIDomics. He analyzes genomics data in the context of Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Diseases (IMIDs) to guide patient stratification and the development of novel therapeutical options for IMID patients. He is a research professional with diverse experience in computational biology, data science, oncology, and molecular biology. Aitor holds a BSc in Biology from the University of Oviedo (2011) and an MSc in Biotechnology from the University of Glasgow (2014). He received his Ph.D. from the University of Galway (2021) for his work on endoplasmic reticulum stress and metabolic reprogramming in triple-negative breast cancer, in the frame of a Marie-Curie-ITN European research consortium. His research has been published in top-tier journals and has been presented at international scientific congresses.
