Vasileios Katranidis

Vasileios Katranidis is a highly experienced professional in data science and engineering with a strong background in deep learning and R&D. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at IMMO since March 2022, Vasileios co-founded CARV3D, focusing on synthetic media and earning a patent in the UK. Additional experience includes funding from Entrepreneur First, a postdoctoral research fellowship at Airbus Defence and Space, and a specialist role at Castolin Eutectic, where complex shape kinematics and thermal sprayed coatings were key focus areas. Vasileios has a robust academic foundation with a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Surrey, an MSc from Cranfield University, and a degree in Product and Systems Design Engineering from the University of the Aegean.
