Laurice Royal is a seasoned legal professional with extensive expertise in employment law and human resources management. Currently serving as a Senior Legal Advisor at Impact Justice since August 2021, Laurice provides legal counsel on employment law matters. Previous roles include Vice President of Talent and Inclusion, where Laurice led the People Department and developed talent initiatives, and Acting Director of Talent and Inclusion. At The Johns Hopkins Health System Corporation, Laurice held the position of Retired Practice Group Leader and Chief Legal Counsel, overseeing legal matters related to employment, labor, and accessibility. Laurice’s background also includes serving as Interim Vice President of Human Resources at Johns Hopkins Hospital and as an Assistant Solicitor in the Office of the City Solicitor. Laurice began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. Laurice holds a double major A.B. in Sociology and Anthropology from Smith College and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School.
