Rodolphe Barrangou

Rodolphe is helping the company optimize CRISPR-Cas systems and their crop applications. He is the Todd R. Klaenhammer Distinguished Professor in Probiotics Research at North Carolina State University, where he focuses on the evolution and functions of CRISPR-Cas systems and their applications in bacteria. Rodolphe has received many awards for his work, including the 2016 Warren Alpert Foundation Prize, the 2016 Canada Gairdner International Award, the 2017 NAS Award in Molecular Biology, the 2018 NAS Prize in Food and Agriculture Sciences, and was elected into the US National Academy of Science in 2018.
