Karthik Vijayakumar started their work experience in 2006 as a System Administrator at State Bank of India. Karthik then worked as a Storage Administrator at Marist College from 2008 to 2010. In 2010, they joined GSK as a Sr. SAN Administrator. From 2011 to 2015, Karthik worked at Meijer as a Technical Engineer, where they managed the Storage Area Network and architected storage solutions for Mainframe systems and critical Oracle-based applications. In 2015, they joined InComm Payments as a Senior Storage Engineer, responsible for managing the Storage Area Network and Backup environment, configuring and managing storage components in VCE Vblock systems, XtremeIO, Data Domain, Isilon, and Avamar systems. Karthik then progressed to roles such as Infrastructure Engineer III and IV and Manager I, before becoming the Director I of Infrastructure Design and Engineering at InComm Payments in 2023.

Karthik Vijayakumar earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Marist College during the years 2008 to 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Information Technology from Sathyabama University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Their high school education was completed at Jawahar Higher Secondary School from 2001 to 2003. Before that, they attended Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Senior Secondary School from 1985 to 2001. In addition to their formal education, Karthik obtained the certification of VCE Certified Converged Infrastructure Associate (VCE-CIA) from VCE in January 2016.
