Dr. Heeralal Gargama

Dr. Heeralal Gargama is a Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, since November 2021, with extensive experience in RAMS engineering. Prior to this role, Dr. Gargama served as the Group RAMS Manager at Alstom from September 2016 to November 2021, where responsibilities included leading a Safety Engineering team and ensuring the implementation of industry standards in railway systems. Dr. Gargama's earlier experience includes serving as the Lead Engineer in Reliability at BE Analytic Solutions and a Research Scholar at IIT Kharagpur, where research focused on reliability-based design and electromagnetic shielding. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and M.Tech in Reliability Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and a BE in Biomedical Engineering from Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science.
