Joey Mason

Joey Mason co-founded Duplex Capital Partners and is a partner in the fund. Previously, Dr. Mason was M Ventures Head of the Life Sciences Fund. He has spent his career in the life sciences sector, most recently as an independent board director and adviser to a number of publicly-listed and private European companies. Mason was a General Partner with the venture capital firm, Delta Partners, for 10 years from 2004, where he made and exited investments in the EU and US across a range of health care sectors. During this period, he served as Member, Vice-Chairman, and Treasurer of InvestEurope (formerly EVCA). Prior to this Mason co-founded and was Managing Director of Eumom Ltd, a women’s health Internet business in the UK, Ireland, and DACH. He was Corporate Development Director at Biotrin plc, a VC-backed immuno-diagnostics company from 1995 – 1999. Mason was a healthcare corporate finance analyst with Morgan Stanley International in London and a director at Technomark Consulting Ltd, a corporate finance advisory firm over a 5-year period from 1990. He trained as a medical doctor at Trinity College, Dublin.
