Lauren A. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community engagement and wellness, currently serving as the Member Experience Manager at Industrious since March 2023. As the Founder and CEO of Black Girl In Om since September 2014, Lauren has led a well-respected lifestyle brand focused on wellness for Black women, successfully growing social media presence and cultivating community through workshops and events. Previous roles include Artist in Residence at The University of Chicago, Engagement Coordinator at Women Employed, and various positions at Penumbra, where Lauren contributed to arts education and youth development. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in American Studies from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, complemented by certifications in yoga.
