Mark O'Sullivan

Visiting Researcher at University College Cork

Mark O'Sullivan is the Co-founder and CEO of NeuroBell, which focuses on innovative products for the early detection and monitoring of neonatal seizures. In addition to this role, Mark serves as a Visiting Researcher and Principal Investigator at University College Cork, leading the Neurobell Project aimed at developing a portable EEG device for neonatal seizure detection. Mark's research background includes a postdoctoral role at the INFANT Research Centre, where diagnostic decision support tools for fetal and neonatal health were developed, along with a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University College Cork. Mark has also participated in entrepreneurial programs such as the IGNITE Graduate Business Innovation Programme and Techstars' Student Entrepreneur Fellowship, honing skills in business planning, model analysis, and investor relations. Prior experience includes an internship at MACOM, where research focused on radio frequency design.
