Connor Imes is a Computer Scientist at USC Information Sciences Institute, specializing in computational systems and technologies since July 2018. Imes focuses on collaborative fog and edge systems, particularly in distributed machine learning workloads, through projects like FogSys and DARPA's CASPER. With a background as an Ubuntu Member and Community Volunteer since 2007, Imes has also gained experience as a Ph.D. student at the University of Chicago, a research intern at Berkeley Lab, and a research assistant at Mozilla, in addition to holding a senior software engineer position at Lockheed Martin and other roles in information technology. Imes holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Southern California.
