Dermot Canavan

Dermot Canavan has extensive experience in trade finance and operations, currently serving as COO for Trade & Trade Commodity Finance at ING since September 2015, with previous roles including Head of Trade Finance Product Management and Head of Trade Finance Sales. Prior to ING, Dermot held several senior positions at the Royal Bank of Scotland from November 1994 to September 2015, including Head of Trade EMEA and CAO Global Trade Finance. Dermot's earlier career included significant roles at ABN AMRO, where responsibilities ranged from CFO for the Commercial Client Segment to Management Accountant in the Investment Banking Division. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Accountant at Kredietfinance Corporation Ltd and as a Supervisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Dermot is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, having completed formal education in finance.
