Edwin van Loon

Edwin van Loon is an experienced tax professional and leader in the field of indirect tax, currently serving as a Member of the Audit Risk and Advisory Committee at GÉANT since November 2018 and as the Tax Control Framework coordinator at ING since August 2014, where responsibilities include the design and implementation of tax controls and policies. With a history of leadership roles, including Executive Director of Ernst & Young's Indirect Tax Performance Advisory Group in the Netherlands, Edwin has developed expertise in optimizing VAT strategies for multinational companies. Additionally, Edwin holds the position of Chairman at Stichting Dwarsli and has founded various representative offices, including those of Coopers & Lybrand in Bonaire. Edwin's educational background includes degrees and programs from prominent institutions such as Erasmus School of Accounting and Assurance, Nyenrode Business University, and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
