Thijs Janssen

Thijs Janssen is an accomplished innovation leader with extensive experience in the financial technology sector. Currently serving as the Chief Chaos at ING Factory, Thijs Janssen is the founding father of the initiative that fosters creativity among teams. With a focus on innovative technologies, Thijs Janssen has held several key roles at ING, including Initiative Lead for IoT and Innovation Driver, where responsibilities included developing disruptive innovations and advancing beyond banking initiatives. Thijs Janssen co-founded FINN - Banking of Things and was a Founding Partner at Clippon Technologies BV, specializing in customized IoT solutions. Prior to roles at ING, Thijs Janssen contributed as a Senior Business Development Executive at equensWorldline and IBM, where innovative payment solutions and business opportunities were developed. Thijs Janssen also has experience as a visiting lecturer in usability research and has held internships at KLM and Ericsson. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Interactive MultiMedia and User Experience Design from the University of Portsmouth, as well as a Bachelor of Art in Technology Interaction Design from HKU.
