Baljeet Gill is a Research Associate at the Innovative Genomics Institute. Baljeet received their Ph.D from North Dakota State University in December 2017. While at NDSU, they supervised and trained three laboratory assistants, managed the greenhouse, and bred new wheat cultivars for research studies. Baljeet also conducted single nucleotide polymorphism detection and analysis, ran PCR and qPCR assays, and carried out linkage map construction and QTL analysis. In addition, they developed wheat amphiploid lines using tissue culture techniques and published their findings in multiple papers.
Baljeet Gill has a PhD in genomics and bioinformatics in plant sciences from North Dakota State University. Baljeet also has a master's degree in microbiology from Punjab Agricultural University and a bachelor's degree in biological sciences from Punjabi University. Baljeet is also certified by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation as a Pest Control Advisor.
