Zhiqi KANG has been a PhD Candidate at Inria's Thoth team since February 2020, under the supervision of Dr. Karteek Alahari. KANG has contributed to facial frontalization for audio-visual speech enhancement during a Master Internship, leading to a first-author paper submitted to IEEE Transactions on Multimedia and proposing innovative methods in the field. KANG participated in Google Summer of Code in 2020, focusing on audio-visual emotion recognition, and published research at the ECCV Workshops. Previously, KANG contributed to the SymPy community during the 2019 Google Summer of Code, working on the Tensor module. KANG also gained experience as an IT Analyst Intern at BNP Paribas Securities Services. KANG holds a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Data Science from Université de Technologie de Compiègne and has a background from Université de Technologie de Troyes.
