Richard Hicks

Richard Hicks is an experienced executive with a strong background in technology and operations within the educational sector. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Inspiredu Atlanta since July 2020, Richard Hicks previously held the position of Executive Director at PowerMyLearning, where responsibilities included overseeing strategic planning and operations in Greater Atlanta from October 2007 to July 2020. Additionally, Richard served as Director of Technology & Operations at PowerMyLearning, focusing on national technology resource acquisition and refurbishing operations. Prior to that, Richard was the Director of Information Technology at GMC - Georgia Military College, where a strategic IT plan was developed and carried out. Earlier roles included support technician and computer lab assistant at GMC, ensuring effective technology implementation and maintenance across multiple campuses. Richard Hicks holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Communications from Georgia College & State University and an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia Military College.
