Oriol P. is a seasoned geologist with specialized expertise in geological hazards, currently serving as a Geologist in Geological Hazards at the Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya since November 2017. Oriol possesses extensive experience in geological risk mitigation, having developed plans for various ICGC projects across Catalonia. Prior roles include work as a Geomorphologist and GIS Analyst at Consorcio Tracasa - Nipsa, contributing to the implementation of the National System Information and Management of Rural Lands and Technological Infrastructure in Ecuador, and serving as a Consultant Geologist for Corporación Bioparque, where Oriol executed environmental impact assessments for oil projects in Colombia. Additionally, Oriol participated in projects related to climate change adaptation in El Salvador through ONG Geólogos del Mundo-World Geologists. Oriol holds a Master's degree in Geology specializing in Geological Hazards from Universitat de Barcelona and a Bachelor's degree in Geology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
