Karen Rundlet

Karen Rundlet currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at the Institute for Nonprofit News, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Rundlet spent nearly nine years at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, where responsibilities included Senior Director and Director of Journalism, focusing on a $50 million grant portfolio and supporting grantee projects. Previous experience includes leadership roles in multimedia and digital journalism at organizations such as the Miami Herald, WLRN Public Radio & Television, WPLG-TV, and WNBC-TV. Rundlet's education includes a B.A. in English from Georgetown University and a Media Management certificate from the Maynard Media Academy.
