Nicola Comninos

Nicola Comninos, CFA, currently serves as Group Executive: Investments and Chief Risk Officer at Purple Group, having extensive expertise in enterprise risk management, governance, compliance, and investments. Nicola holds the position of Vice President on the IRMSA Board and has contributed to its Risk Intelligence Committee. Awarded Risk Manager of the Year in 2020, Nicola's achievements span various leadership roles, including Co-head of the Women in ETFs South African chapter. Previous experience includes serving as Group Chief Risk Officer and chairing the JSE Pension Fund Board, alongside stints in the South African Reserve Bank focusing on financial stability and operational resilience. Nicola's educational background includes a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and degrees in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg.
