Margarida Almeida

Margarida Almeida is a PhD candidate specializing in Optical Quantum Communications and Technologies at Instituto de Telecomunicações since November 2020, with research fellowships in various projects under the supervision of Prof. Armando Pinto and Dr. Nuno Silva. Prior experience includes a research fellowship in Quantum Technologies at Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian focused on secure key extraction from quantum key distribution systems, and an internship at CERN where Margarida contributed to the revalidation of muon detectors in the CMS Experience. Earlier roles included a research fellow position at Universidade de Aveiro, where Margarida worked on game design for social interaction projects. Margarida Almeida holds an Integrated Master's in Physics Engineering and is pursuing a Doctor's Degree in Electrical Engineering at Universidade de Aveiro.
