Kyra Maas

Kyra Maas is a DNA Analyst at Eurofins Forensic Services, specializing in high-throughput DNA profiling, including preliminary research, DNA extraction, quantification, multiplex PCR, and capillary electrophoresis since July 2022. Previously, Kyra gained laboratory experience as an intern at Faculty Pharmaceutical Sciences Ugent, focusing on the potential of CRISPR Cas12a/Cpf1 in pharmacogenetics, and completed a microbiology internship at FrieslandCampina, where research involved thermoresistant Microbacterium and MALDI-TOF optimization. Earlier roles include work as a Pathologist and Pathology Laboratory Assistant at Pathan b.v. and UZ Leuven, where tasks involved histology and cytology analysis. Additional experience in the hospitality industry includes positions at Eetcafé De Lachende Koe, 't Hart van Breda, and Bella Italia, encompassing various customer service roles. Kyra holds an HBO degree in Forensic Research from Van Hall Larenstein University and an MBO level 4 degree in Pathology Analysis from Radius College.
