Brioch Hemmings is a Senior Hydrogeologist at INTERA Incorporated since October 2024 and previously served as a Groundwater Modeller at GNS Science from October 2016 to October 2024, focusing on groundwater modelling, model calibration, and uncertainty analysis. Brioch held a postdoctoral research associate position in Computational Volcanology at the University of Bristol from October 2010 to October 2016, where responsibilities included developing numerical models of fluid flow in volcanic environments and studying hydrological flows. As a PhD student at the University of Bristol, Brioch conducted fieldwork in hydrology, geophysics, geology, and geochemistry in an active volcanic arc island. Additional experience includes working as a Geothermal Reservoir Modeller and a Geophysicist at Applied Seismology Consultants Ltd, specializing in microseismic monitoring. Brioch holds a PhD in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Bristol and a Master's degree in Geophysical Science from the University of Leeds.
