Christoph Duenwald

Christoph Duenwald is a seasoned economist with a distinguished career at the International Monetary Fund since 1995, where Christoph has held various leadership positions including Division Chief for the Caribbean, Mission Chief for Iran, and Deputy Chief for the division covering Afghanistan, Iran, and Pakistan. Duenwald has also served as Mission Chief for Afghanistan and the West Bank and Gaza, and has been involved with multiple economic teams focusing on regions such as the Middle East, Central Asia, and Asia-Pacific. Earlier in the career, Duenwald worked as an economist at the Bank of Canada, where responsibilities included preparing economic projections for European G7 countries. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from The University of British Columbia and Victoria University of Wellington, complemented by a High School Diploma with an International Baccalaureate from Ashbury College.
