Emer McPolin

Emer McPolin is an experienced professional in user experience and design, currently serving as the Experience Design Practice Head at the International Monetary Fund since November 2021. Prior to this role, Emer held significant positions such as Senior User Experience & Creativity Lead at Volkswagen of America, Inc, and UX Design, Creativity & Innovation at Slalom. Emer's career includes impactful roles as Principal Consultant and Consultant for User Experience & Design at PA Consulting, and as Senior Producer and Senior Designer at the BBC. Earlier experience includes creative management at K.K. Nichiai and teaching English in Japan through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. Emer's educational background features a PgDip/MSc in Computing & Design from Ulster University, as well as a BA Hons in Graphic, Product & Interactive Design and a Diploma in Design from Technological University of the Shannon.
