Hoda Assem is an accomplished economist currently serving as an Economist (ETC) and Short Term Consultant at the Office of the Chief Economist of the Middle East & North Africa at The World Bank since October 2021. Prior to this role, Hoda was a Teaching and Research Fellow at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne from January 2019 to August 2021, where responsibilities included teaching courses in Statistics and Probability as well as Econometrics. Additionally, Hoda served as a Teaching Assistant in Microeconomics at Université Panthéon-Assas (Paris II) for several months in 2018. Hoda's educational background includes a PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics and a Master's degree in Analysis and Policy in Economics from the same institution. Hoda also holds Bachelor's degrees in Economics from both the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and Cairo University, along with an IGCSE from Ramses College for Girls.
