Montie Mlachila

Montie Mlachila has extensive experience in the International Monetary Fund, currently serving as Deputy Director of the African Department since September 2011, with previous roles including Assistant Director in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department and Mission Chief for Togo. Mlachila's earlier tenure at the International Monetary Fund from 1997 to 2008 included the position of Senior Economist. Educational qualifications include studies at CERDI, Universite d'Auvergne from 1994 to 1996 and attendance at Kamuzu Academy from 1981 to 1983.
