Turky Alhelo is an experienced professional in livelihoods programming and food security, currently serving as a Livelihoods Program Officer with the IOM - UN Migration since March 2024, focusing on resilience and recovery in Ukraine. Prior to this role, Turky worked as a FSL Specialist and Co-Coordinator for the Food Security Cluster in North West Syria from February 2023 to March 2024, providing technical support and representing the cluster in OCHA meetings. From January 2016 to January 2023, Turky held various positions at IYD Relief, including Early Recovery and Livelihood Program Manager and Food Security & Livelihood Program Coordinator, managing grants and project design. Turky holds an MBA from the University of Suffolk and a Master's degree in Agriculture Science from Cukurova University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine from Jami't Al-Ba'ath.
