The Conservation and Wildlife Management team at the International Rhino Foundation (IRF) is responsible for implementing and overseeing various conservation initiatives aimed at protecting rhino populations and their habitats. This multidisciplinary team, composed of experts from renowned zoos, wildlife centers, and conservation programs, collaborates on projects such as Rhino Protection Units, breeding programs, and habitat restoration efforts in key regions like Indonesia, India, and Southern Africa. Their work includes field research, anti-poaching operations, veterinary care, and community engagement to ensure the long-term survival of all five rhino species.
