Veena Srinivasan

Veena Srinivasan is an accomplished leader in water management and environmental sustainability. Serving as the Founder and Executive Director of WELL at Krea University since March 2023, Veena is also a Board member of the International Water Management Institute and Chair of the Strategic Advisory Group for the UN Water Integrated Monitoring Initiative for SDG 6. Previously, Veena directed the Centre for Social and Environmental Innovation at the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment, managing significant projects like the 2035 Vision for Sustainable Water Management in Bangalore and research on climate change impacts on urban watersheds. Veena has held prestigious positions, including the Prins Claus Chair at Utrecht University and roles at reputable institutions such as Stanford University and the Pacific Institute. Educational credentials include a PhD from Stanford University, an MA from Boston University, and a B-Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
