Sharon was born and raised in the Houston, TX area. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University, she interned at Hammersmith Hospital in London. She completed a Master's degree in Public Health in 2002 and worked in health services research at Baylor College of Medicine for over 4 years, where she interviewed patients from local clinics and the Houston VA Hospital, collaborated on research projects and published her thesis in the Journal of American Board of Family Medicine. She enjoyed working directly with patients, and decided to return to school to become a physician assistant. She graduated from UTMB Galveston with a Master's degree in PA Studies in 2007.
Sharon has over 10 years of experience in the specialty of interventional pain management. She has treated a variety of pain conditions including neck and back pain, joint pain, neuropathy and migraine headaches. She has extensive experience in medication management, injection therapies and intrathecal pump management.
