Thomas Kim

Thomas Kim is a seasoned legal and financial professional with extensive experience in leadership roles within prominent organizations. Currently serving as Managing Director of the Independent Directors Council at the Investment Company Institute since October 2019, Thomas previously held the position of Senior Vice President at the Mortgage Bankers Association from 2011 to 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Associate General Counsel at Freddie Mac from 2005 to 2011 and as Associate Counsel at the Investment Company Institute from 1999 to 2005. Thomas holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Los Angeles - School of Law, a Master of Laws (LLM) from Georgetown University Law Center, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from UC Irvine.
