David Shaw

David Shaw is an accomplished Chief Operating Officer at IREN since October 2021, with a rich background in industry consulting and executive roles. Prior to IREN, David Shaw served as an Industry Consultant in Water, Energy, and Resources at David Shaw Consulting from February to September 2021. David Shaw's extensive experience includes significant positions at Wood, where responsibilities spanned Senior Vice President for Asia Pac East and Regional Business Director from January 2014 to December 2020. Additional roles comprise COO at FT Services, Executive General Manager for Western Australia and Hydrocarbons at Transfield Services, and Project Director for the Mobil Altona Refinery Clean Fuels Venture at Transfield Worley. David Shaw holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Melbourne, obtained between 1985 and 1988.
