Àlex Olvera van der Stoep

Àlex Olvera van der Stoep is an experienced associate researcher at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute since May 2011, focusing on epitope-based immunogen refinement and preclinical testing related to HIV protection. In addition to research, Àlex has served as an associate professor of immunology at Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya since September 2017. Previous roles include post-doctoral researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and IRTA - CReSA, plus a genetic analyst position at LUMC in the Netherlands. Àlex holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, complemented by a master's degree in Science and bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Biology.
