Irene G. is currently a PhD student at IrsiCaixa AIDS Research Institute since January 2022. Prior experience includes serving as research personnel at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (CSIC-Universitat Pompeu Fabra) from July to December 2021, focusing on CRISPR mutant creation to study mobile element responses to oxidative stress, and as a consultant trainee at Ampersand Consulting from November 2020 to May 2021, where activities included developing recommendations for patients with psoriatic disease. Earlier roles also encompassed being an undergraduate student researcher at the Institute of Evolutionary Biology and laboratory personnel intern at IRTA, where work involved the development of antimicrobial recombinant proteins. Irene G. holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry from Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from IQS Barcelona. Currently, Irene G. is pursuing a doctorate in Advanced Immunology at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
