Simon Perusin

Simon Perusin is a highly skilled materials scientist with extensive experience in the development of metallic materials for various high-performance applications. Since December 2015, Simon has worked as the Head of Metallic Materials and Processes at IRT Saint Exupéry, focusing on structural materials for engines, aircraft, helicopters, satellites, and launchers, with expertise in additive manufacturing and forging. Prior to this role, Simon served as a Metallic Materials Specialist at AREVA NP from March 2010 to December 2015, where Simon specialized in the mechanical behavior and corrosion of metallic alloys in the nuclear industry and collaborated in research on their physical characteristics. Simon's career began at Airbus, where from November 2005 to March 2010, Simon developed titanium and high resistance stainless steels for the aeronautical industry and worked on metallic honeycombs for noise reduction. Simon holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Cirimat INP Toulouse, obtained between 2001 and 2004.
