Taira Hutchings

Taira Hutchings is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in HR governance, operations, and strategic partnership. Currently serving as Director of HR Governance and HR Operations at Irving Oil since March 2020, Taira previously held several key roles at Suncor from 2010 to 2020, including Human Resources Strategic Partner, where responsibilities included managing HR cycles and leading HR transformation initiatives. Additional expertise includes competency management, employee relations, and project leadership in the environmental health and safety domain. Taira’s career began with roles at AMEC Natural Resources, Canadian Natural Resources Limited, and Mercer, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Haskayne School of Business and further education from Mount Royal University.
