Thomas Ayres

Thomas Ayres is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at Starlab since February 2024. Ayres has held prominent board positions, including as a Board Member for the West Point Association of Graduates and IT Cadre. Previously, Ayres was the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Voyager Space from June 2021 to February 2024 and served as General Counsel for both the United States Air Force and the United States Space Force, where responsibilities included providing legal advice on critical operations and legislation. With prior roles including Deputy Judge Advocate General of the US Army and Commander of the US Army Legal Services, Ayres has extensive experience managing large legal teams and advising senior military leadership. Ayres holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
