Dong Liu has worked in the tech industry since 2014. In that time, they have held five different positions. From 2014-2017, they worked at Cott as a Junior Front-end Developer, where they built a single-page application focusing on managing data and customers tailored for art shows, redesigned the architecture of the app, and refactored multiple components to be more DRY. From 2017-2019, they worked at ELEKS as a Full-stack Web Developer, where they worked on building a game-based platform to assess a candidate's soft skills and increase the odds of a successful hire, improved outdated APIs written in Python, and improved Python codebase design by adding reusable base classes based on design pattern. From 2019-2021, they worked at Nowa Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, where they implemented PoS bridge for cross layer token transfer and sharing data, developed smart contracts such as auction, sale, and especially used proxy patterns for transfer proxy and service proxy, and helped dapp developers to integrate etherJs and web3Js. From 2021-2022, they worked at MakersPlace as a Senior Blockchain Engineer, where they built NFT marketplace from scratch using both Solidity and Cadence, implemented wNFT (wrap NFT for rental) and linear vesting schedule contracts, and implemented NFT auction contracts for various uses. Currently, they are working at HeraSoft as a Blockchain Developer, where they have implemented smart contracts for fractionalization (fNFT) and Shotgun auction contract using Solidity, implemented NFT and FT contracts and Shotgun auction contract using Cadence on Flow, and tested Cadence smart contracts using Golang and Jest.
Dong Liu attended Tianjin University of Science & Technology from 2011 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
