Katalin Czippan

Deputy Chair at IUCN

Katalin Czippan serves as the Deputy Chair of the Commission on Education and Communication of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) since October 2006, contributing to sustainability and environmental education. Additionally, Katalin holds the position of Regional Vice Chair for Europe within the same commission. At Cz&K Consulting, Katalin works as a senior advisor focusing on education and communication for sustainability, with expertise in competency-based education and stakeholder engagement. Previous roles include Chair of the Education Committee at the Hungarian National Commission for UNESCO, senior advisor on sustainability at the National University of Public Service, and coordinator for the ELENA project at the Academy for Nature Conservation and Landscape Management. Katalin’s early career involved significant contributions to health education and sustainability initiatives within various governmental and non-governmental organizations. Katalin holds an MSc in Mathematics and Physics from Eötvös Loránd University.
