Garrett Whipp

Garrett Whipp is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in the industry, currently employed at JDS Energy & Mining Inc. as a Mining Engineer since January 2015. Prior to this role, Garrett served as a Senior Staff Engineer at Tetra Tech from February 2011 to December 2014 and as a Technical Services Mining Engineer at Maptek between January 2007 and February 2011. Early career experiences include a mine engineer internship at Arch Coal, Inc. and a summer engineering internship at Kinross Gold Corporation. In addition to engineering roles, Garrett has been a Professional Pyrotechnician at Night Musik since 2004 and worked as a Lab Technician at Earth Mechanics Institute from 2005 to 2006. Garrett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, obtained in 2007.
