Aleksey Stukalov

Aleksey Stukalov is currently the Head of the IntelliJ IDEA Division at JetBrains, overseeing the team to maintain the IDE's leading position for JVM languages and beyond since February 2024. Previously, Stukalov served as Solutions Director at Haulmont from October 2016 to January 2024, managing strategic and operational tasks to deliver high-quality custom software. As the Founder and Product Manager of JPA Buddy, Stukalov developed popular plugins for IntelliJ IDEA, which were acquired by JetBrains in 2023. Additional roles include Product Manager at Jmix and Project Manager and Deputy Head of the Software Department at IT Service Samara, among others. Stukalov holds a Master's degree in Development of Oil and Gas Deposits from Samara State Technical University and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from Samara State Aerospace University.
