Nienke Metz

Nienke Metz is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in youth law and family law. Currently serving as a Jurist at Jeugdbescherming Brabant since January 2023, Nienke provides legal support to youth protectors and juvenile caretakers. Previous roles include Chair of the Civil Traject Advisory Board at Via Almata and Chair of the Youth Protection Table in West-Brabant-Oost. Nienke has also contributed legal expertise as a Jurist for the Municipality of Breda, a Legal Expert for the Raad voor de Kinderbescherming, and held various legal positions, including as a Senior Legal Employee in youth law at the Zeeland-West-Brabant District Court. Nienke began the legal career as a Legal Secretary at the Amsterdam Court of Appeals and has worked as an attorney specializing in family law. Nienke holds multiple degrees including a Doctorate in Dutch law from the University of Amsterdam, and advanced qualifications in family law and youth law.
