Matheus Rabelo

Matheus Rabelo is an experienced economist currently working at JGP since April 2023. Previously, Matheus held a position as an economist at Bahia Asset Management from May 2020 to December 2022 and served as a research assistant at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada (Ipea) from December 2016 to December 2017, focusing on modeling the Brazilian economy using a DSGE approach. Matheus contributed to the paper titled "Impactos Macroeconômicos do Choque Fiscal de 2015: a regularização de despesas públicas não contabilizadas." Earlier experience includes an internship at FAPES BNDES within the macroeconomic research team from September 2015 to November 2016. Matheus earned a master's degree in economics from FGV EPGE during 2018-2020 and a bachelor's degree in economics from Universidade Federal Fluminense from 2013 to 2016.
