Matthew Lim

Matthew Lim is an EDP Engineer at John Deere since August 2023 and has been an Engineering Learning Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign since August 2022, where responsibilities include facilitating lessons for new engineering students and providing mentorship. Matthew has extensive experience in leadership roles within the Off-Road Illini Baja SAE team, serving as Machining Lead, Chassis Member, and Safety Officer, where tasks involved writing machining programs, designing components using PTC Creo, and ensuring safety for over 100 students. Additionally, Matthew has held internships at G&W Electric Co., designing a camera inspection fixture, and at Ingersoll Machine Tools, focusing on mechanical engineering design and assembly. Matthew graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 2023.
