Susan Sher currently serves as Senior Adviser to the President at The University of Chicago since 2011 and has held multiple influential roles, including Member of the Board of Trustees at both The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and Loyola University Chicago, as well as a Member of the Board of Directors for the Partnership for a Healthier America since 2012. Sher has significant experience in governmental affairs, having worked as Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the First Lady at The White House from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, Sher was Vice President for Legal and Governmental Affairs and General Counsel at University of Chicago Medicine from 1997 to 2009, and served as Corporation Counsel and First Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago between 1989 and 1997.
